Business Background
This client is a Chinese entrepreneur opening a restaurant in Madrid, Spain. To reduce startup costs, they plan to ship a batch of secondhand restaurant furniture purchased in Shenzhen—including tables, chairs, booths, and food carts—by sea to Spain for use. Recognizing our company's extensive experience, professional expertise, and ability to provide door-to-door, one-stop shipping solutions, the client selected us as their partner for this restaurant furniture export project.

Business Process
This shipment involves a large quantity and volume of restaurant furniture, approximately 30 m³.
After confirming the furniture categories, quantities, packaging requirements, and delivery terms with the client, our company tailored a door-to-door full container load (FCL) ocean freight logistics solution based on the cargo characteristics and volume:
1. Domestic Segment:
(1) Arrange trucks to load containers at the Shenzhen furniture factory.
(2) Customized standard packaging for all furniture; disassembled and packed for removable items.
(3) Booked shipping space and handled customs clearance procedures.
2. International Segment
(1) Full container shipment to: Port of Barcelona, Spain (with real-time logistics updates).
(2) Assist with customs clearance upon arrival and arrange vehicle pickup.
(3) Truck delivery to client's Madrid store, unloading goods, and conducting quantity verification.
Required Documentation Checklist
1. Commercial Invoice: Must specify product name, material, quantity, CIF value, and country of origin, matching the goods exactly.
2. Certificate of Origin: FORM A certificate qualifies for preferential tariffs and requires certification by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.
3. CE Certification: All furniture must comply with EU EN 12521 furniture safety standards.
Important Notes
1. Environmental Certification: Must comply with EU Ecolabel standards, ensuring wood materials originate from sustainably managed forests and formaldehyde emissions are below 0.124 mg/m³.
2. Special Material Documentation: Seats containing leather require an Animal Health Certificate; metal components must meet REACH chemical registration requirements.
3. Wooden Packaging Fumigation: All wooden packaging materials (crates, pallets, wooden frames) must undergo fumigation treatment, bear the IPPC mark (stamped under supervision of the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau), and be accompanied by a fumigation certificate.
